ABBOTSFORD, BC – The Abbotsford Police Foundation (APF) is excited to announce the appointment of Jessica Levesque as its new Executive Director, a significant milestone that coincides with the 20th anniversary of the APF.
With a fundraising goal of $350,000 in 2025, the APF continues its mission to foster meaningful connections that connect police with community and build positive relationships between the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) and the community with funding that is outside the regular operating budget of the AbbyPD.
“On behalf of the Abbotsford Police Foundation Board of Directors, we are thrilled to welcome Jessica Levesque as our first-ever Executive Director,” said Sandy Blue, President of the Abbotsford Police Foundation. “Jessica’s journey with the APF began in 2022 as a volunteer, and she joined the Board in 2023, where she chaired the Marketing and Communications Committee. Her passion for community, extensive experience, and dedication to the Foundation made her the clear choice for this role as we celebrate our 20th anniversary and the impact the APF has had in supporting positive connections between AbbyPD and the community.”
In her new role, Ms. Levesque will oversee the Foundation’s strategic direction and fundraising efforts while working closely with the Board of Directors, volunteers, and community partners to expand opportunities for engagement. “As a registered not-for-profit charitable foundation, the APF supports programs outside the Abbotsford Police Department’s operating budget—allowing AbbyPD to engage with the community in ways that would otherwise not be possible,” said Jessica Levesque, Executive Director of the Abbotsford Police Foundation. “I’m excited to work alongside our diverse Board and dedicated volunteers to build on the 20-year legacy of the APF and help foster a safer, more connected Abbotsford for everyone.”
